Project: S.Angelo di Brolo, located in the mediterranea scrub within oak, chestnut and olive trees, is a natural and green oasis, with many churches and ancient nunneries of feudal origins. The work camp will include maintenance activities of paths along the river, in order to access water-mills, and the creation of observation points to prevent fires. Furthermore, volunteers will have the chance of know and learn ancient traditions, getting in touch with local craft activities.

In early 2004, the German Nature Conservation Society and the town of Lößnitz took over the youth hostel located in Lößnitz-Affalter. The youth hostel is surrounded by a landscape of soft hills (around 450 m high), characterised by slate mining and agriculture. Thanks to the involvement of many international volunteers, the area has been restored, and the fast urban development (that usually destroys natural sites) has been stopped.
In cooperation with partners from Estonia, Italy and Croatia, Youth Centre Livno is organizing youth exchange, which will be held this summer, from 10th till 19th of July in Estonia. In exchange will participate nine young people from mentioned countries. From Livno, in exchange will participte three members of Youth Centre Livno and sixs highschool students.
Location: Kostelecke Horky in Eastern Bohemia is a small village with about 150 inhabitants situated in the rolling landscape between Divoka and Ticha Orlice rivers. It is situated in North Eastern Bohemia, not far from the town Hradec Kralove, 6 km from the important railway junction Chocen. You will help local NGO INEX – SDA Kostelecke Horky. The program of cleaning and sanitation of Zlot canyon, Lazar’s and Vernjikica caves, riverbanks will be carried out at the entries to the beautiful Zlot canyon where caves are situated. The aim of the project is to clean the entrance of the canyon and caves, prepare them again for tourist use and protect them from further destruction. Work: In cooperation with local residents volunteers will clean Zlot canyon, Lazar’s and Vernjikica caves and riverbanks.
Project: for the first time, the municipality of St Pierre du Lorouër invites Concordia to organise an international Workcamp in this small village, to help with a renovation programme. Volunteers will assist and participate to the maintenance of an ancient public wash-house. You will help in the posing and the covering of the structure, in accordance with the stylistic traditions of this region.
The school “Luigj Gurakuqi” is for handicapped children 6-18 years from Tirana, where actually PVN is supporting with students for social work. During the work camp, the vols will accompany the children in their school activities and group work, like group of theatre, painting, drawing sport, tailoring etc. The vols will build a theatre scene and at the end of the camp, the children will present a theatre play to the parents, neighbours, teachers and children of a normal partner school.
Project This camp is organized for teenagers by the language school “In Down Town” and non-profit association “Alternative Language Programs Satellite”. The school’s aim is to introduce the diversity of world cultures to youth through language studies, meetings, visits, direct contacts with young people from abroad in the hope to help young Estonians’ integration into modern world. The main idea of the camp is to provide meaningful summer activities for local youth helping the school to realize its aim.

Viittakivi is a folk high school in a rural area in Southern Finland. Viittakivi organises basic schooling for immigrants and the rehabilitation and education of drug-users. The school tries work in a sustainable and multicultural way. W: Simple building maintenance tasks (eg. painting walls) to make the schools common rooms and accommodation more pleasant. The park of Dieskau Palace has been part of the "Gartentr�ume" (garden dreams) project of the Federal State of Saxony-Anhalt (www.gartentraeume-sachsen-anhalt.de) since the year 2000. Forty historical parks are protected from decay and restored following the principles of the preservation of historical monuments in order to make the heritage of garden culture accessible to the public. Kosjeric is a small town in the western part of Serbia well known for its beautiful nature. A group of young people initiated summer art camps to increase and affirm cultural and tourist potentials through interaction with citizens in an international atmosphere. W: mural or wall painting of certain objects in the city of Kosjeric. The work will be done in teams. Every member of a team is asked to suggest an idea, participate in selecting the team’s solution and work on it together with other members.
W: Renovation work and ecological action in order to provide help to local community. Workshops about voluntarism and activism for participants of the camp will be organized in order to give the space to people involved in the activity to discus topics of active participation and voluntarism and compare situation in Montenegro and other countries. Ohrid is a city on the eastern shore of Lake Ohrid in R Macedonian. It has about 55,700 inhabitants. The city is rich in picturesque houses and monuments, and tourism is predominant. It is located east of Elbasan and Tirana in Albania, southwest of Skopje, and west-northwest of Resen and Bitola. Indeed the town of Ohrid is built on a hill. In 1980, Ohrid and Lake Ohrid were accepted as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
T.R.A.G. is located in the city of Athens, the capital of Greece, in a small donated estate near a large park. The Therapeutic Riding Association of Greece (TRAG) was established in 1992, as a non-profit, volunteers' organization with a solid social goal; one year later, TRAG was also recognized as a sports organization. Therapeutic riding is an alternative rehabilitation programme, where the horse is the therapeutic medium.
De Wroeter is a non-residential centre for socially disadvantaged people, some of them have a minor handicap. It is situated in a beautiful and nice countryside area. Growing vegetables and fruit in an ecological way is the main activity. Other activities are maintenance of the environment (lanes, flowers, and trees…) and occasional building activities. The objective of the organization is to enlarge the social integration of the people by giving them work or useful daytime activities.

Youth council Konjic is organizing the work camp with the aim of promotion of sustainable development and protection of life environment. The work camp will be contained of workshops, work actions and excursions.. The municipality of Konjic is located in the region of Bosnia and Herzegovina known as northern Herzegovina, roughly 50 kilometres south of Sarajevo.
This camp is going to take place in a village in L viv suburbs called Bryuhovychy. It is a place where the only refuge for homeless dogs and cats is located. And it is the only one in Western Ukraine. Some people ruthlessly leave their pets outside the refuge and go away. Local volunteers constantly help in the refuge as often as possible: cook, clean, build open-air cages, buy food.
W: The task will be to help the local community to organize a program called “Summer in the City,” for children and youth who are staying in the city during summer holidays. Volunteers will work in two youth centres of the local parishes. The daily program will include: arts & crafts, sports, excursions, cinema outings, playground activities, swimming-pool, and other events. Probably the group of volunteers will be split into two smaller teams that will work separately.
Svennils is a small farmstead in the centre of Scania with beautiful surroundings. Organic farm run with the help of cows, sheep, pigs and dogs. The farm is slowly being turned into a sustainable permaculture place. W: Installing solar cells on the farm, dig a pond for watering the animals, move the sheep stable, restoration, harvesting and hay making, tend the animals and the crops. Hard physical work.
You wake up by dawn in the castle surrounded by volunteers from all over the world. Having some breakfast and energy games and then the work starts, but voluntary work can not hurt when you later move on to the swimming pool for some fun and relax, going to the ZOO watching the funny animals, making trips and walks in the beautiful nature, that surrounds Bojnice or hanging with your volunteer friends.
This will be the third year that the Beach Dreams festival organisers have invited Concordia volunteers to assist with their annual event. The festival, which is part of the larger Adur summer festival, runs for two days at the end of the project. Volunteers are invited to help prepare for the event for the 2 weeks before the festival itself. This year’s theme is “Carnival”.
For more than 4 years, the municipality of Auzat, situated in a pretty little valley of Ariege (South-West of France) has supported archaeological excavations on the site of the Castel of Montreal-de-Sos. This place is a set of an old castle ruins dating from the 13th century, located on a rocky promontory where you will find a lot of things (tools, potteries, foundations, signs of past life, various objects...). A lot of people are involved in excavations: a skilled leader, local and international volunteers...

WORK/PROJECT: SEEDS, SEE beyonD borderS, will work this year again with our volunteers in the protected area of Þórsmörk. Volunteers’ tasks will be mainly focused on construction, maintenance and marking of walking paths and hiking trails. Additional work might include maintenance of the mountain huts in the area, painting huts and cabins along with some forestry work. Project: Festambiente Sud is the Legambiente national festival for the south of Italy: five days of music, wine and traditional food tasting, theatre, meetings, exhibitions in the medieval old town centre of Monte Sant’Angelo, in the middle of the Gargano National Park. Monte Sant’Angelo is an ancient mountain village, close to the Manfredonia Gulf, where there is an old sanctuary, aim of pilgrimages upfront the medieval period.
ENVI 21.07.2007. - 03.08.2007. Siglufjördur is the northernmost town in Iceland, located at the foot of towering mountains on the shore of a small fjord bearing the same name. Fishing and the processing of marine products provide the principal source of employment for the town's 1,600 residents, as the settlement has developed around one of the country's best natural harbours.
“Costa de Mirafont” Work: is a dry-stone path the begins at the chapel of la Mare de Déu del Carme and continues up in the mountains. The path has been heavily damaged by several agents. The theme of the work camp is to refurbish the dry-stone path in accordance with the traditional technique, with the help of two professionels of dry-stone. The idea is to restore its original aspect and at the same time to conserve its basic function that is to pass satisfactorily the rain water.

Work will be organized in the old baroque-classictic Castle of Lord Chotec, built in the middle of the 18th sentury, where is Secondary Agricultural School located today. Project is organised by Club of Researchers "Green Head", Mostar www.zelenaglava.com, this is first international workcamp of this kind organised in Mostar, on green city oasis. W: The main job for the volunteers will be cleaning of city green oasis terain "Trim Staza" from garbage and unorganic waste left behind. The volunteers will work together with local population and other local participants of the camp.
The island of Ugljan (52km2, 75 km of irregular coast-line) lies just a few nautical miles off-shore from Zadar. It is covered by evergreen pine forests, macchia, fig trees, vineyards and olive groves. The camp is organized for the first time in cooperation with a new local association which aims to spread out the idea of voluntary work. Volunteers will work on clearing and marking paths, environmental clean-up and maintenance of Kukljaca seaside.
Stara Zagora (SZ) is a mid-size Bulgarian town (170 000 inhabitants) with an ancient history and heritage (older than 8000 years). In relation with the fast emerging town center and related construction projects SZ Historic Museum implements an intensive program of rescue excavations discovering Roman, Late Antique and Medieval pages of town history. In 2007 this 100 y/o institution moves to another new building.
Obedska Bara, an oxbow lake surrounded with marsh and forest habitats, is famous as an ornithological reserve. It is one of the oldest protected areas in the world and a wetland of international importance (listed as a Ramsar site). Wetlands are among the worlds most threatened ecosystems and this one has been gravely degraded, the most important problem being the overgrowing and disappearance of wet meadows.
W: Volunteers will work on festival like staff. They will be in charge for logistics preparation and realization of the festival. Daily work depends of the day but it won’t be longer then 3- 4 hours. Also, volunteers will have creative workshops and will prepare short artistic performance which will be part of the festival’s program. S: Excursion to Ohrid, barbecue, café bars, etc
